Water Well Resources Available Online

The Water Systems Council is committed to ensuring that Americans who get their water from private household water wells have safe, reliable drinking water and to protecting our nation’s groundwater resources. As part of that effort, we have created a Complimentary Water Well Resources page which includes new brochures,  special reports, a Well Owner’s Manual, videos, and more. 

We continue to work with the water well industry and private health groups to provide important information and resources for water well owners and water well industry professionals on water well standards and state well codes.

WSC has developed voluntary industry standards for water well industry products and provides an annual listing of products in compliance with those standards. Visit the Water Well Standards tab to view current standards and products meeting those standards.  

Our State Well Codes database stores state standards for the construction of private water wells. Included in the database is state-specific information on various codes related to water well construction and siting. To find information on your state or other states, use our searchable database on the State Well Codes tab.
